How are the projections calculated?
Each cost is converted to an annual figure and projected forward over your chosen horizon (1, 5, 10 or 20 years). You can adjust the inflation rate applied to future prices, and the cancel-vs-invest tool applies a return rate you choose to show what investing the same money could look like.
Are the prices accurate?
Prices are checked periodically and each service page shows when its plans were last verified, but providers change prices without notice. Always confirm the current price with the provider. DripCost is not affiliated with the services it lists.
How do the cancellation guides work?
Each subscription page has a step-by-step guide to cancelling that service, plus a link to the provider's own account page. Use the search box on the Subscriptions page to find the one you no longer use. Providers change their flows from time to time, so if a step looks different, follow the provider's current instructions.
Is this financial advice?
No. Everything here is for illustration only and should not be taken as financial advice. Investment returns vary and can be negative.
Do you store what I enter?
Calculations run in your browser and are not sent to us. A stack is stored only when you choose to save it, so the share link works, and it is not connected to you in any way. Your theme and currency preferences stay in your browser's local storage.
Can I see prices in another currency?
Yes. The currency switcher in the header reformats every figure using approximate exchange rates. Converted figures are for orientation only; providers bill in their own currency at their own rates.
Is the site free? Will I see ads?
DripCost is free to use. To cover its costs the site may show clearly labelled advertising. Ads never influence the numbers, and the privacy policy explains what advertising means for your data.
